This was so on point. Loved it. I remember someone complimenting my style 4 or so years ago. I remember the quote “you have the best style”. I was wearing relaxed linen tailored trousers, relaxed button down, and Greek sandals which was tailored enough for a relaxed work atmosphere. This person was 20 years my junior (not important but made the compliment all the more heart warming for me). It was a year before I discovered Tibi, but my style had migrated to chill with a side of classic and quirky. I discovered Tibi and began to see a migration in my personal style that left me feeling more like myself than ever before. Now, at 57, I find it easier to get dressed and feel completely like myself most days.
Totally agree. I get dressed and feel like me in my Tibi. Something about the lines, the colors and swishing sounds, mixing with other things in my closet, are just right. I also had one of those moments from a friend of "your blazer is just too big," but then later in the day someone else saying "Your blazer looks like my style. Good." I mean, whatever, how do you FEEL in the blazer? That's what I keep asking myself.
Omg, it is so typical, truly. People always ask if I get feedback in my DM’s from customers about “should I do pink or red?” And I think, wow, that is hardly the convo we’re having.
I also love that no everyone is my style and it seriously means nothing to me when I hear about “baggy pants” are so unflattering. Actually makes me chuckle.
I loved “fuck it I bought the one I really wanted/should have bought/that gave the look I wanted in the first place. I’ve finally learned to just BUY THE ONE I WANT. Not the cheaper
One, not the more practical one, not the one that my friend likes. The ONE I WANT.
Amy, Thank you for modeling a coherent narrative that encourages your followers to learn to articulate their own personal style. I have learned so much here
Thank you for this. I never knew that this would be so rewarding in this way, if you’d asked me ten years ago I thought that the tip of reward came with the feeling you get at the end of the runway show; that’s hardly the case now.
I am so grateful to have found you. I’m an architecture professor and talk a lot about the components of good design. When I found your CP principles it was such a major click - omg! This is giving me so much vocabulary about what I wear! I’m a big fan. Just - so many kudos to you and the whole tibi team!
This personal connectivity paired with thought on style is why I’m so glad I found Tibi! And why I’m to give Tibi the vast majority of my clothing budget 🤣
If I can ask : am pretty solid on my personal style and aren’t looking for help/styling. But really interested in personal style writing. Am I a potential audience for the creative pragmatist book ?

Is this really the type of conversations people have with you? You are almost a therapist!

Where in the heck did that ever even come from? Tight looks better than loose?

I liked this. Great thoughts to head into 2025 with.

Love this conversation. It takes a while for my eye to adjust to the looser fits, but then I love the look.
